“Game-ending steal”: Shannon Sharpe cites LeBron James’ final defensive play to roast critics of his shooting as Lakers beat Thunder in 3rd straight OT game
LeBron James came through with some more clutch plays in a 3rd straight overtime win for the Lakers – their second against OKC.
Shannon Sharpe did not miss out on this opportunity to clap back at critics of ‘The King’. With his characteristically strong Twitter game, Shay Sharpe went after a fan for roasting LeBron’s airball against Lu Dort.
Shannon remarked that LeBron had been responsible for a match-tying 3-pointer. In his replies, a Twitter fan criticized James for throwing up an airball in the Lakers’ final possession. While James did dally in initiating the play on that instance, it still was some exemplary defense by Dort.

The Lakers are now 20-6 on the season, and are in contention to snag the top seed in the West for the second straight time.
LeBron James is still the NBA’s most dominant player in clutch time
James had a subpar shooting night, but was still by far the best player on the court (surprise, surprise). This streak of missed shots – many of them from range – was in part due to the Thunder’s excellent defense. They didn’t allow straight-line drives to the bucket, unlike the Pistons.
Right when the game was on the line with the Thunder holding a 3-point lead in regulation, James came up with a game-tying 3-pointer from way downtown. But the way the Thunder held their own on defense in OT – especially Luguentz Dort, their second-year defensive star – was admirable.

James was also supported well by Montrezl Harrell and Dennis Schroder once again, but it was still his night. If he continues to perform in clutch periods in this fashion, it will be tougher to deny him a 5th MVP title.
