Is Kevin Durant playing tonight vs Lakers? Brooklyn Nets release hamstring injury update for the Slim Reaper ahead of matchup against LeBron James and co
The Nets release an update on Kevin Durant and his injury status as the team prepares to face LeBron James and the Lakers.
The Brooklyn Nets had a comeback win for the ages the other night against the Suns. Led by James Harden, the Nets came back from down 24 to win the ball game 128-124. That marked the 4th straight win for the Nets, who now sit on the 2nd spot in the East with an 18-12 record.
The matchup that everyone keenly awaited is here, as the Nets prepare to take on the Lakers later tonight. The two teams are considered as two teams favored to meet each other in the Finals.
However, this game will lack the zing that it could have carried, as Anthony Davis is out till at least the All-Star break.
Is Kevin Durant suiting up tonight against LeBron James and his Lakers?
Kevin Durant has not suited up for the Nets in 5 of their past 6 games. Durant was forced to miss three games earlier due to the NBA’s Covid Health and Safety protocols.
He returned for the Nets’ matchup against the Warriors, where he scored a comfortable 20 points and had 2 blocks. Durant seemed to have a mild hamstring strain, which was supposed to keep him out for two games.
The Lakers game marks the third game the Nets keep him on the sidelines. Davis being out for the Lakers might be one of the reasons why the Nets are giving KD some extra rest.

The Nets might go in shorthanded, as Kyrie Irving has also been listed as probable. Irving sat out the game against the Suns as well due to soreness in his back.
