"A Stephen Curry dagger!": Ayesha Curry reacts to Warriors star knocking down clutch shot in win against Jimmy Butler's Heat

Stephen Curry shrugged off an off-night to come alive in the clutch period. His final shot prompted an impromptu tweet by his wife Ayesha Curry.

The Miami Heat led the Warriors for nearly the entire game, but the home team drew level in the final minute of the game. Neither team played particularly well on offense, but the Heat were especially great at stifling Curry.

The Heat sent traps and double-teams Steph’s way whenever he looked to put the ball on the floor. This resulted in Steph staying off his game all night, unable to get into his dribble-drive game.

The Warriors were carried on offense by Kelly Oubre for most of the night. Oubre was the tallest starter in the Warriors’ ranks last night, and also their best player overall.

The Heat had a double-digit lead for most of the game, but the Warriors ate into that with a few minutes remaining in the 4th. It became a one-possession game, and both teams had chances to win the ball-game.

Eventually, Curry got going from range, finishing the night with figures of 5-of-20 after starting 2-of-15. 2 of those crucial 3-pointers were in overtime, helping to quell the Heat’s challenge. The second was straight out of the Curry playbook – a maze of dribbles before a splash on Nunn.

Ayesha Curry was definitely excited, judging by the spirit of her tweet.

4 Warriors finished with 20+ points on the night – Wiggins, Steph, Oubre and Bazemore. Kent Bazemore had the game-high tally of 26 points, shooting 10-of-19 from the floor.

The Heat are now at 11-17, staring at the real possibility of missing the playoffs. There’s a play-in tournament, but the prize for that will be to face either the Sixers or the Brooklyn Nets – neither of which is a particularly enticing prospect.
