David Warner claims that Dhoni is nurturing Kohli
World champions Australia are being humbled in the ongoing ODI series against India. The Men in Blue have looked far too good for the Aussies, as they lead the five match series 3-0.
Under Kohli’s astute leadership, India have now won their last eight matches on the trot as they look like the early favourites for the 2019 Word Cup. And David Warner believes that MS Dhoni is still have a massive influence in this team.
People were curious to how Dhoni will react to not being the captain after almost a decade at the helm. While most people did not feel that it will affect him much, there is no doubt that the initial few matches would have felt a little awkward to Mahi.

But in the Sri Lankan series and especially the ongoing series against Australia, you can see that Kohli is almost under constant consultation with his former skipper.
And Warner acknowledges that Dhoni is playing a huge role in mentoring the current Indian skipper.
“MS Dhoni brought a sense of calmness to his captaincy. He did a great job as captain and he is still doing a great job, nurturing Virat and that is a great thing to do for a former captain. He is nurturing Virat and that is a good thing to do for both men.”
“Virat has not had a lot of non-success as captain but the real challenge comes when you start losing games. We are here for another three matches to go and hopefully we can turn that around and maybe we will see a different captain.”
