WATCH: Mathew Wade’s throw hits Rohit Sharma on the head!
Bangalore witnessed India’s 1st loss in 10 ODI’s last night, as Australia put up one of the most complete performances of the series to avoid an embarrassing washout.
David Warner and Aaron Finch set up the score for Australia, hitting the ball to all parts of the field and it was finished off by Handscomb towards the end of the innings despite a little stutter during the middle overs.
The Indian chase, to a large extent depended on how Rohit and Rahane started things off, as you always need a solid foundation when chasing hight totals.
And that is exactly what the boys from Mumbai did, seeing off the new ball, scoring freely and giving the middle and the lower order the perfect platform to finish off the game.
Though the Indians couldn’t do it in the end, it was heartening to see the kind of start that was provided by Rahane and Rohit. And while the highlights would comprise of the best shots that they played, it would also take into account one little incident, wherein Mathew Wade accidentally threw the ball at Rohit Sharma’s head, while trying to throw it back to the bowler.
Wade apologised almost immediately and it was nice to see Rohit taking it in the right spirit, as sometimes such an incident can upset you a little, especially when there is a lot of history between the two teams.
Thankfully no damage was done to Rohit and play could resume as normal.
