Kohli last 10 innings score: Ben Stokes dismisses Virat Kohli for a duck in Ahmedabad Test
Ben Stokes dismisses Virat Kohli: The English vice-captain sent back the Indian captain cheaply at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
During the second day of the fourth Test of the ongoing England’s tour of India in Ahmedabad, England vice-captain Ben Stokes dismissed India captain Virat Kohli once again in the series.
It all happened on the fourth delivery of the 27th over when Kohli’s attempt to defend a Stokes delivery outside the off-stump led to his dismissal. Stokes, who was successful in generating extra bounce out of nowhere, did the right-hand batsman with the same as he edged the ball to England wicket-keeper Ben Foakes.
It is worth mentioning that Kohli and Stokes had indulged in an animated argument just when the latter had come in to bat yesterday. Stokes, who had also dismissed Kohli in the first Test in Chennai although with low bounce, seems to be emerging as the winner of this contest between the two A-list players.
Kohli, who walked back after scoring 0 (8), has registered his second duck of the series. As far as his last 10 Test innings are concerned, Kohli’s 267 runs have come at a below par average of 26.70 including three half-centuries.
With India also losing Cheteshwar Pujara (17) earlier this morning, they haven’t been allowed many run-scoring opportunities on Day 2. Still trailing by over 150 runs, the home team requires a couple of decent partnerships to close in on England’s first-inning score.

When was the last time Kohli had two ducks in a series? #INDvENG

Kohli’s second duck of the series. Averaging 28.66 in the series. England back in it

Isn’t that (the Kohli dismissal) too much bounce for a Day 2 Test pitch in India? Asking for a trend #IndvEng

I guess Stokes won that exchange then. Today’s play so far has the feel of a slow, burning standoff; India trying to bat through a difficult period and England chipping away in search of cracks. @INDvENG
