“LaMelo Ball plays and thinks like a veteran”: Dell Curry loves having LaMelo on his Hornets, waxes eloquent on his impact on the team
Dell Curry heaps praise onto LaMelo Ball during an interview, explains why he is already the Hornets guard is already so good in the NBA.
LaMelo Ball has by far been the NBA’s best rookie this season. Despite the many worries about his game and maturity, the player is now often described to have the game of a veteran.
His decision-making is incredible overall. The youngest Ball’s playmaking ability already ranks amongst the best in the league, and his scoring ability has only gotten better with every passing game.

His game is so fun, that many just can’t take their eyes off him. Part of this group is Dell Curry, who is the commentator for the Charlotte Hornets alongside Eric Collins.
Having to watch him on a nightly basis, there aren’t many others that know Ball’s game better than the former player. Recently, Curry appeared in an interview with an old teammate of his. Here he is was asked about his thoughts on the youngest Ball brother.

Recently, Dell Curry appeared on the ‘Rex Chapman Show’, where he sat down with Rick Chapman to discuss basketball. A former Hornets player himself, Chapman was interested in the development of LaMelo Ball. And when he asked Curry about the player, this is what he had to say.
“He plays bigger than he is. He’s 6’7”. He’ll mix it up, he’ll stick his nose in there. He is not afraid at all.”
Curry continued to analyze LaMelo Ball’s game and talked about how he came in this ready for the NBA.

“He plays like a veteran already. I think playing in Australia helped prepare him for the league. He is so coachable, so humble. He’s nothing like what his reputation may have perceived him. He is a great teammate. His teammates actually love playing with him…He is always thinking about the next play.”
Such praise coming from this great of a former player and the father of Stephen Curry is incredible for LaMelo Ball. Melo has displayed every sign of breaking out as a true star of the league in a few years.
