Kohli Buttler fight: The Indian captain and the English vice-captain batsman exchange multiple words after the latter got dismissed.

During the fifth T20I of the ongoing England’s tour of India in Ahmedabad, India captain Virat Kohli and England vice-captain Jos Buttler were involved in an animated exchange of words after the latter’s dismissal.

It all happened on the penultimate delivery of the 13th over when Buttler’s attempt of playing an aerial shot against India pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar led to his dismissal.

In what was a full and straight delivery, Buttler aimed at clearing Hardik Pandya at long-off but ended up handing him a straightforward catch near the boundary.

Just as Buttler was walking back to the dugout, he was seen returning to have multiple words with Kohli. While the exact conversation remains unknown, both the players’ expressions were enough to assume that the words being exchanged weren’t very pleasant ones.

Opening the batting with Jason Roy (0) in a 225-run chase, Buttler scored a hard-hitting 52 (34) with the help of two fours and four sixes in a potentially game-changing 130-run partnership for the second wicket alongside Dawid Malan (68).

Having kept England alive in a daunting chase, Buttler’s dismissal was followed by a batting collapse which sucked the momentum out of the English innings.

Bhuvneshwar, who had dismissed Roy in his first two-over spell, bowled an incredible third over to dismiss Buttler in addition to giving just three runs.
