“LeBron James is so petty”: Fans blast Lakers star for posting pictures of him dunking with LaMelo Ball watching after Melo said he doesn’t ‘look up’ to LeBron
We all know how petty LeBron James can be when the occasion demands it. NBA fans seem to have spotted him throwing shade at LaMelo Ball.
The Lakers star is currently nursing a high ankle sprain and has been ruled out for around a month or more. James sustained this injury early in the Lakers’ 99-92 loss to the Atlanta Hawks. He managed to keep his 10-point game streak alive with a corner 3-pointer.
But it was all he could do to stay on the floor by that point, as he had to call a timeout on himself after that. James has been ruled out for around 4-6 weeks, turning the Lakers into buyers at the trade deadline.
This hasn’t prevented basketball fans from noting some perceived shade he threw at LaMelo Ball.

When asked about facing LeBron James, LaMelo Ball didn’t give the staple answer that every rookie is expected to give. Melo said he wasn’t particularly excited about this prospect while stating that he approaches every game in the same fashion.
James made an Instagram post about a dunk he made in transition against the Hornets. This sequence came right at the start of the 2nd quarter, and James definitely had better highlights to show off.

This obviously rubbed his haters the wrong way, and they began calling him petty. This wasn’t his only dunk of the game in which Ball came in the frame, but detractors usually don’t need rhyme or reason.

Nevertheless, the duel between James and Melo was a pretty good one. James obviously came away with the W and the best highlights of the night.
