“Mike Conley still got bounce, but he’s the only ground-bound Jordan Brand player”: Jordan Clarkson roasts Jazz teammate for not dunking in-game this season
Utah Jazz star Jordan Clarkson speaks about fellow teammate Mike Conley’s bounce, jokes about betting on the player’s ability to dunk.
The Utah Jazz have been a revelation this season. The team currently stands at the top of the Western Conference and has won their last 4 games. The efforts of Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert have obviously been integral to the team’s success.
But players in Jordan Clarkson and Mike Conley have been excellent for the franchise as well this season. Mike Conley is already 33-years-old. So, at 6’1”, not many believe the NBA veteran can still pull off an in-game dunk.
But, as he made clear to the media, it seems Clarkson has a completely different opinion.
Jordan Clarkson claims that the NBA community has been sleeping on Mike Conley’s dunk package
Mike Conley is one of the team’s main playmakers and scorers. But, while the player can do just about everything, he isn’t quite a high flyer in fans’ eyes. Many even believe the player can no longer dunk the ball.
This is something Jordan Clarkson disagrees with this opinion completely. During his interview with the media, this is what he had to say on the topic.
“Mike got bounce! We still got a rolling bet in the locker room. We still waiting for him to dunk. Should have put a bet on him winning a jump ball too. He wears Jordan, they only sign people that dunk…and Mike is the only one that stays on the ground.”
Then…it happens.

This statement will come as a surprise to even the fans of Utah Jazz. Mike Conley does indeed play with Jordan’s on. However, actually seeing him dunk will undoubtedly be an astonishing sighting.
Though, after hearing this statement, we must say we are more excited than ever to see the player rise up and throw one down in a game.
