Kendrick Perkins now believes that the LA Lakers are no longer favorites to win the West after the performance of the team without LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
The LA Lakers have been dealt a bad hand this season. The franchise already had to deal with Anthony Davis going down with a major injury. But now, their best player in LeBron James has also been sidelined for a long time.
Due to losing both their stars, the supporting cast has needed to do things on their own, and unfortunately, it’s not going very well. The team has won just 1 of its last 5 games and is falling fast in the Western Conference standings.
Observing this, former player and now NBA analyst Kendrick Perkins has a hot take regarding the team. And it is one that Lakers fans are not going to like.

This is a tough one, to be honest. No team ever does very well without their biggest stars on the floor. And especially when the team has two of the top 5 players in the entire NBA missing, it is bound to have a massive impact on the franchise’s results.
So, despite the poor performances, we still believe it’s a bit too early to make bold predictions about LeBron James’s LA Lakers. And the way Perk has flipped the script before, he may just be the one raving the most about the franchise in the future.
