“Stephen Curry is a lot like Wilt, Shaq, Jordan and Iverson”: Reggie Miller compares the Warriors superstar to some of the all-time greats

With Stephen Curry at the cusp of Wilt Chamberlain’s Warriors’ scoring record, Reggie Miller waxed eloquent about how he’s changed the game.

NBA offenses have become more fast-paced and dynamic than ever. With teams shooting more and more three-pointers, the scoring has been off the charts. Most of the credit has to be given to Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry.

Shooting the ball from way beyond the three-point line with high consistency has been absolutely mind-blowing to see. In his 12-year career, Curry has single-handedly revolutionized the game of basketball.

Being one of the most entertaining players in the league today, the 7-time All-Star has shown his loyalty and achieved a lot with the Golden State Warriors.

Earlier this past year, the “Baby-Faced Assassin” became the organization’s all-time Assists leader. Today, Curry is only 18 points away from surpassing the legend Wilt Chamberlain as being the all-time scoring leader for the Warriors.

Hall-Of-Famer and fellow sharpshooter, Indiana Pacers’ Reggie Miller has often stated how Steph is one of the best to ever play his position. In a recent interview with ESPN, Miller compared the 6-foot-3 guard to some of the NBA’s legends saying how all of them changed how the game is perceived. Reggie stated:

“He’s a lot like Wilt and Shaq and Jordan, Iverson. They changed things. They changed how the game is perceived and played.”

“Stephen Curry is the greatest shooter that I have seen”: Reggie Miller

Stephen Curry is unarguably the greatest shooter of all time. He virtually holds all the three-pointer records in the book. Earlier this season, Curry surpassed his idol Reggie Miller being second all-time in three-pointers made. Steph will likely break Ray Allen’s record some time next season – he’s got 265 more to get there.

Reggie has often a time openly stated how Curry was his favorite shooter. In the interview, when asked if Steph was the best shooter of all time, Reggie said:

“He is. He is … I always thought Drazen Petrovic was — because we played the same position, and I had to see it up close, I thought he was the greatest shooter that I had ever seen up close, but Steph has just taken shooting to a different level.”

On Monday night, the Warriors will be facing a Nikola Jokic-led Denver Nuggets. Steph would look forward to becoming GSW’s all-time scoring leader while grabbing the victory for the team.

This season has been pretty difficult for the 3-time champion, what with the Warriors languishing at 10th in the West. With only 19 games left in the season, he will have to do everything to help his team make a playoff push.
