“Jamal Murray had more consequential playoff games in the bubble than James Harden in his career”: Zach Lowe roasts the Nets star while praising the injured Denver guard on the latest Lowe Post
Zach Lowe seems to be going the Bill Simmons route according to NBA Reddit, judging from his comments on Jamal Murray and James Harden.
Jamal Murray suffered an ACL tear on his left knee late in the Nuggets’ loss last night. Most of us had the Nuggets as a real contender after their stupendous performances in last year’s playoffs.
But this injury virtually rules them out of true dark horse status. They still have the probable MVP this season in Nikola Jokic, but they’re significantly less deep than last year now.
Zach Lowe was reminiscing about Murray’s amazing playoff run last year as a tribute to the youngster on The Lowe Post. He also took an extremely unconventional route of spewing trash talk about players.
Zach Lowe trashes James Harden while praising Jamal Murray
At the 8:25 mark of today’s episode, Lowe went all in on the Beard while complimenting the Canadian:
“Who’s had more consequential playoff games in their career? I’m talking about real meaty ones not when already down 3-0. Jamal Murray in last year’s playoff run or James Harden in his entire career?”
I’ve never heard an ode to a player/team from Zach Lowe like the one he did for Jamal Murray and the Nuggets today.

Now, Lowe is never the type to wax eloquent about a player just for the sake of it. Part of his emotional reverie may also have been because Jamal demanded respect for his Nuggets from the ESPN writer head-on after their win over the Clippers in the bubble playoffs.
Nevertheless, Jamal Murray knows all too well that anyone with a brain would rather pick James Harden than him. It’d perhaps still be nice to get some real props for someone injured so tragically as Jamal has been recently. Our prayers are with the Canadian.
