“Their women look like Bulldogs, their macots”: Charles Barkley roasts Georgia Bulldogs and ladies of Georgia at the same time

Some more women caught strays from Charles Barkley on as he trolled the Georgia Bulldogs, talking about Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.

In the NBA community, Charles Barkley is known as one of the funnier analysts on television right now. His takes, his analysis at times, and his squabbles with Shaq are must-see TV, and always get fans laughing hysterically.

Once in a while though, the NBA legend does tend to make a few offensive comments. Fans of the show ‘Inside the NBA’ only know too well about his comments on the women who live in San Antonio. And while it was clear that he meant it as a joke, Barkley took it too far and faced a ton of backlash.

It seems Chuck is looking to make the same mistake once again. In the most recent episode of TNT’s Inside the NBA, the former Suns player made some comments that were less than tasteful. Let’s get into it.

Charles Barkley makes a controversial comment while talking about the Georgia Bulldogs’ mascot

During the latest edition of the TNT’s show, the Inside Crew were covering the matchup between the LA Lakers and the Dallas Mavericks.

During this game, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope played very well, sinking some tough jumpers during crunch time. This prompted the show’s hosts to talk about Pope, and his alma mater, the University of Georgia.

The institution’s basketball team goes by the name ‘The Georgia Bulldogs’. The team’s mascot is, you guessed it, a bulldog.

Most analysts wouldn’t even bring up all of this while covering a game. However, it seems Charles Barkley had a joke to tell off this little nugget of knowledge:

“The Georgia Bulldogs, the only team that names their mascot after their women. They got some bulldog-looking women in Georgia.”

For the most part, the NBA community will likely take it as a joke, and rightfully so. The Chuckster jokes around on these topics a fair bit, but never really means what he says.

However, there is still a danger of affecting the feelings of the audience, which increases the potential of backlash. And so, perhaps Charles Barkley needs to be more mindful of what he says on national television.
