“Brook Lopez recoiled after Kenyon Martin Jr dunked on him”: Bucks star explains his hilarious reaction to the Rockets rookie’s poster dunk
After being dunked on by Rockets rookie Kenyon Martin Jr, Brooke Lopez had a hilarious reaction, which he broke down after the game.
Getting crossed over, blocked or even turning over the ball is considered to be an embarrassing thing in basketball. However, nothing could be more humiliating than getting dunked over by anyone.
On Friday night, Houston Rockets rookie Kenyon Martin Jr had one such highlight play. Halfway into the third quarter, Martin Jr caught a lob from his teammate Kelly Olynyk and slammed it over Milwaukee’s huge 7-feet Brook Lopez. As Kenyon screamed a few words, Lopez had a rather hilarious reaction to the rookie.
The 6-foot-6 forward probably had such an enthusiastic reaction because just a few minutes prior, the All-Star had dunked on the rookie. It was KJ’s unique way of getting back at the 13-year veteran.

Brook Lopez elaborates on why he reacted the way he did to Kenyon Martin Jr’s dunk
Maybe the young gun reacted way too soon. It was Lopez and his Bucks who got the final laugh, beating the Rockets 141-133. Brook did finish with a great game recording 24 points and 7 rebounds.
However, Martin did have a great game himself too. In the 39 minutes he was on the floor, he finished with a game-high 26 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists and 1 dunk he was too proud of.
The former All-Defensive player did give the Houston player credit it was due. While explaining his mockingly hilarious reaction postgame, he admitted that Kenyon’s dunk was a good play. He further explained his famous reaction:
“He made a good play and I think that’s the response he was trying to elicit, so he succeeded.”

Grabbing this huge win over Houston, the Bucks have now improved their record to an incredible 43-24. Even though it might seem improbable, Milwaukee’s aim for the number one seed of the Eastern Conference will still be on with only 5 games left in the regular season. As for the Rockets, they are out of the playoffs contingent for this season.
