Tim Tebow is officially a Jaguar. With Tebow signing with Jacksonville, his jerseys and merchandise became the highest selling commodities on NFLshop.com as he leads jersey sales.

Tim Tebow linked up with the Jacksonville Jaguars shortly before the 2021 NFL Draft. Head Coach Urban Meyer used to coach Tebow back in college, and so there was keen interest from both sides to get a deal done.

The move is already paying dividends for the Jaguars. Tebow now has the highest selling jersey in the NFL. This wasn’t surprising to see. After all, Tebow draws huge crowds wherever he plays. Some NFL analysts even believe that signing Tebow was a marketing move more than anything.

Tim Tebow Has Highest Selling Jersey In The NFL After Signing As A Tight End With Jacksonville Jaguars

Tim Tebow is back in the NFL, but he’s definitely not returning to his old position. The Jaguars went ahead and drafted Trevor Lawrence this year to be their franchise quarterback, so there was never a question that Tebow would take that spot.

So, Tebow decided to switch it up and come back as a tight end. That’s right, Tim Tebow, after a decade long hiatus from the NFL, is coming back to play tight end. His contract is for one year.

The move is a little questionable to think about, but we’ve already seen how the connection between Urban Meyer and Tebow may have definitely led to this deal. Nobody expects Tebow to bring out his inner Rob Gronkowski, but the hope is that he’ll be a leader in the locker room, and a good personality to have around.

Further, his popularity is already on display as he’s already topping jersey and merchandise sales. If he can help market the Jaguars even more after drafting Trevor Lawrence, then there’s surely nothing wrong with bringing him on board is there?

Time will tell how Tebow plays at TE in the NFL, but he does have the tool-kit to make it. He’s tall, strong, and fast, making him the perfect athlete for the position. However, can he build his skill-level too? We’ll just have to wait and watch.
