“Bryn Forbes destroyed Miami Heat”: Former Spurs shooter combines with Giannis to lead Bucks to 132-98 win in first round series

Bryn Forbes lit up the Miami Heat in one of the most dominant offensive performances by any NBA team this year.

It’s been a long time since the Bucks last went to the NBA Finals. But their current squad seems good enough to put away last year’s NBA Finalists Miami Heat.

The Heat emasculated Milwaukee in the bubble playoffs, winning the series 4-1 during their stay in Disney World. This was on the back of a season by Giannis that many considered worth of the MVP-DPOY double.

The Greek Freak went on to win both the individual trophies, but I suspect he’d give those honors up in a heartbeat in exchange for this mauling of the Miami Heat.

Giannis was obviously in his element during the first half today. The Milwaukee Bucks raced out to a blowout lead in the first quarter itself in a fashion familiar to their fans. They’ve really been more versatile offensively this year than any other time, and Bryn Forbes is a part of the reason.

Milwaukee raced out to a 46-20 lead in the first half that practically sealed their second W of the series. Bryn Forbes had much to say about this game, proving to be the Bucks’ difference-maker.

The Bucks were already well on their way to a blowout when they sat their starters and put Forbes in. And Forbes just increased their lead to unassailable levels, swishing his first 5 shots of the game.

Forbes entered the halftime team huddle with the Bucks in the locker room with 19 points to his name. These came on 7-of-11 shooting from the field during the half. His streak of 4 straight made 3-pointers was easily the most demoralizing aspect of today’s loss for the Heat.
