“It is so hard to get mad at Andre Drummond”: Superfan Halsey explains why its hard to get angry at the Lakers’ big
Lakers’ super fan and singer-songwriter Halsey talks about Andre Drummond and his poor showing in Phoenix against Chris Paul and the Suns
The Los Angeles Lakers began their playoff campaign with a poor showing against the Phoenix Suns. They fell short 99-90 against Devin Booker and his gritty Suns team. Booker led the charge with his 34 points, 7 rebounds, and 8 assists. DeAndre Ayton was a force in the paint, scoring 21 points and grabbing 16 rebounds. For the Lakers, LeBron James scored a team-high 18 points, 7 rebounds, and 10 assists.
Other than LeBron James, the rest of the Lakers squad did not manage to impress. Anthony Davis was heavily criticized for his poor showing, and his inability to rise up to the occasion. Along with Davis, Andre Drummond was also on the receiving end of a lot of hatred and criticism.
Halsey explains why it is hard to stay mad at Andre Drummond
The Los Angeles Lakers had a rather very unexpected start to their playoffs. Entering the season, the Lakers were favored to defend their title. Even though the 7th seeded Lakers are up against the 2nd seeded Suns, they were still favored to win. However, after their performance last night, the narrative may not stay the same.
The Lakers were dominated on the boards, as well as in the paint. Andre Drummond was a mid-season acquisition by the defending champions for the very same reason. However, he hasn’t been able to live up to his hype and is now facing the fire by the Lakers fans.
There still is one Lakers fan who cannot get mad at Andre Drummond. It is none other than Halsey. According to her, Drummond looks more disappointed in himself than others are in him, and that makes it hard to stay mad at him.
it’s so hard to get mad at Drummond bc his face always looks like he’s more disappointed in himself than I am in him

The Lakers would need to make some changes in the second game to turn things around. Some people believe getting Drummond out of the starting lineup would be one of them. However, one cannot predict what the Lakers would do. All one can do is wait and watch, as the Lakers prepare to face the Suns tomorrow.
