“Mox always believed in me” – Eddie Kingston says he owes his AEW career to Jon Moxley
Eddie Kingston says he owes his AEW career to Jon Moxley. The two are scheduled to face The Young Bucks for the AEW Tag Team Titles at AEW Double or Nothing.
Eddie Kingston made his AEW debut last year. He faced Cody for the TNT Championship on his very first night in the promotion. He failed to win but impressed all those who mattered, eventually earning a contract with the promotion for himself.

Kingston soon turned his attention towards the then AEW Champion Jon Moxley. The two fought for the World title at AEW Full Gear last year. Kingston finally buried the hatchet earlier this year coming to Moxley’s rescue at AEW Revolution. The two have since teamed up and have their sights set at the AEW Tag Team Titles.
Eddie Kingston says he owes his AEW career to Jon Moxley
During a Q&A session on Ad Free Shows, Eddie Kingston confessed owing a lot of his AEW career to Moxley. He also revealed that the plan was always for them to team up eventually.
“Me and Mox talked about this as soon as I got there. I owe a lot of my AEW career to Mox because he believed in me and he’s always believed in me. I was always that guy who is like, ‘Ahhh, get out of here.’
“Mox always believed in me and saw the match with Cody. Even before the match with Cody, he was trying to amp me up. This was the whole plan from, maybe not the get-go because plans change, but I owe Mox a lot. The stuff with me and Mox is on the fly because that’s how we are normally. We argue all the time.”
Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston will fight The Young Bucks for the AEW Tag Team Titles at AEW Double or Nothing this Sunday.
