Watch: MSD at it again, makes a blazing fast run-out to end the drama
MS Dhoni is always raring to have a go at the opposition. Behind the stumps, he gets the complete vision to set the field placements as an unofficial captain.
Brilliant catches, effect stumpings and lightning fast run-outs. MSD makes his presence count in keeping the wickets and this is why he is known for his ‘street-smartness’.
In the T20I decider between India and New Zealand, MS Dhoni displayed his canny moves in what was important to put an end to the series of events.
During the second last over i.e 7th over, Jasprit Bumrah was brought into the attack. He bowled really well to restrict the flow of runs when New Zealand were on the hunt.
In his fifth delivery, he outsmarted Tom Bruce as the latter failed to connect the ball only to get beaten all ends up by Bumrah. The ball did just go straight to MS Dhoni.
With 21 runs required off the last 8 balls, Kiwis had to take the risk to scoop for runs. While doing so, MSD, at the drop of the hat, threw the ball to Bumrah.
After the receiving the ball, Bumrah made a brisk throw that went on to miss the stumps leaving the ball to Hardik Pandya who was in the mid-on region.
Kiwis sensed this as a chance and went for another run but little did they know that Hardik Pandya’s sharp throw to MS Dhoni wielded the magic as the ever calm and composed iceman whipped off the biles at a swift pace.
