”Kevin Durant is one of the best scorers in the league”: Bucks talisman Giannis Antetokounmpo lauds KD after the Nets defeated the Bucks in Game 2
After knocking out the Boston Celtics 4-1 in the first round of the playoffs, Kevin Durant and co have taken a 2-0 lead over Giannis’s Bucks.
While the Nets lost James Harden in Game 1 due to a hamstring injury, they did not face much problem as KD and Kyrie Irving stepped up and came up with dominant wins.
Harden was not available in the second game aswell but it did not matter as Steve Nash’s men dominated the Bucks by winning 125-86. It was a humiliating defeat for the Bucks as they lost the game by such a huge margin.
KD stepped up yet again and dropped 32 points despite being guarded by a defender of Giannis’ calibre. He finished with 12 made shots on 18 attempts on the night.
“He’s Kevin Durant, he’s supposed to do this”: Giannis
The reigning Defensive Player of the Year recently commented on Kevin Durant’s performance against the Bucks in Game 2. The Greek Freak admitted that despite his and his team’s best efforts Durant is simply one of the best scorers in the NBA.

“At the end of the day, he’s Kevin Durant. He’s one of the best scorers in the league. He’s supposed to do this, Giannis said when questioned regarding Kevin Durant’s match winning performance.
Even KD’s rival fans will agree to the fact that he is genuinely one of the best scorers in the NBA, some may even go an extra mile to call him the greatest scorer. But the fact is Kevin Durant can win you games single handedly and that is what he has done against the Bucks in Game 2 especially.
Durant averaged 26.9 points per game in the regular season despite suffering from injury concerns. However, he has raised his standards in the Playoffs as he is averaging 32 points per game in the seven Playoffs matches this season.
Durant has risen to the occasion this season for the Nets and if he continues his scoring spree then the Bucks will simply get steamrolled in this series. Therefore Giannis Antetokounmpo and company will need to up their game and pose some challenge in this series which has been extremely one-sided till now.
