“Nets ownership was upset with Kyrie Irving for sister’s birthday party”: NBA insiders speculate whether 2016 NBA champion will be traded to a different team
NBA insiders reveal that the Brooklyn Nets could already be looking to off-load Kyrie Irving after his off-court behavior this past season.
This could be the end of the line for Kyrie Irving in New York City.
The player’s performances during this past NBA playoffs were elite and well worth the price the Nets are paying him. However, his on-court performances have hardly ever been the problem for any franchise. No, it’s what he does off it that’s often-perplexed franchises.
Just this past regular season, it seemed like the star wanted a hiatus every other week for reasons he seldom chose to explain. And given that this has landed him in hot water at times, the franchise reportedly expected his attitude to change.
However, with no such change taking place, Insiders have revealed that the organization may have had enough, and could look to off-load the star after just 2 years.

Matt Sullivan reveals the strained relationship between Kyrie Irving and Brooklyn
When Kyrie Irving took his many hiatuses this past season, many in the NBA community questioned his attitude. But more than that, nobody quite knew why the Brooklyn Nets were so ready to accept it as well. Well, it seems they were never quite happy with it either.
Recently, NBA insider Matt Sullivan spoke about Kyrie Irving to the Celtics Lab. And here, he revealed some breaking news about the star’s relationship with his franchise.
“I’ve heard that Nets ownership was quite upset with Kyrie’s pause, especially that maskless party that turned his pseudo-paternity leave into more like a COVID suspension.”
“And in the last week, I’ve heard rumblings — whispers, really, because cracking the Nets is kind of like breaking into the Kremlin — that (Marks) would maybe, possibly, apparently be willing to at least listen to a trade offer for Kyrie this offseason.”

If you’re Kyrie Irving in this situation, it’s hard to argue with these arguments. But, given how the star is, we frankly doubt he ever chooses to change his behavior on this topic.
So, will Kyrie Irving leave Brooklyn? And if so, where does he go?
