“Patrick Beverley is hugging Devin Booker like a pair of leggings”: Kendrick Perkins explains what the Suns need to get right vs Clippers in Game 4 today
Kendrick Perkins announces what he believes could be the biggest problem for Devin Booker and the Phoenix Suns against the LA Clippers.
The Phoenix Suns have suddenly been hit with a giant wave of misfortune, and frankly, it hurts to watch. First, it was Chris Paul, who had to enter health and safety protocols just before this series.
Then, it was Devin Booker, whose nose was unintentionally broken by Patrick Beverly in 3 places. And now, it is Cameron Payne, who has been magnificent during this postseason but had to exit game-3 with an ankle injury.
Overall, not what you want against a Clippers side that has two consecutive series comebacks, and look more confident than they ever have.
Despite all that though, former player turned analyst Kendrick Perkins doesn’t believe that’s the key contributor here. And recently, the man explained exactly why he thinks so on Twitter.
Let’s get into it.
Kendrick Perkins believes the Suns need to stop Patrick Beverley from locking up Devin Booker to win
Devin Booker deserves a lot of credit. There can be many that say that the current NBA isn’t tough enough. But very few former players have ever tried to play through a broken nose in, again, 3 DIFFERENT PLACES.
That said though, the player clearly isn’t as influential as he was before his run in with Patrick Beverley. And the fact of the matter is, the Clippers are benefitting heavily from that whole fiasco.
With their primary offensive threat unable to run rampant, the Suns’ offense really showed vulnerability in game 3. And if this goes on, the Clippers could seal yet another series victory after being 0-2 down.
To prevent that, Phoenix has to fix several problems. And Kendrick Perkins revealed what he believes to be the biggest one for the franchise. Take a look at the tweet below.

Since game 3, Devin Booker has announced that his nose feels a lot better. Many analysts have even pointed out that the player just needs to get used to the mask on his face, which he will pretty soon.
So, will Booker be able to get to his shot during their next outing? Or will the Clippers run rampant yet again in game 4.
Only time will tell.
