“Chris Paul, this why nobody likes yo weak a**”: DeMarcus Cousins taunts Suns star from the bench as they win Game 6 and qualify for 2nd ever NBA Finals series
Chris Paul showed us all sides of his basketball career tonight. DeMarcus Cousins, who saw the worst of it, was nowhere near impressed.
The Phoenix Suns are heading back to the NBA Finals stage for the first time in 28 years. Devin Booker and Deandre Ayton have been their consistent performers putting up the volume stats, but it’s the Point God who’s the X-Factor.
When Chris Paul is balling out, few NBA opponents can do anything to stop the bleeding. There’s a reason that we all call him the Point God – when he’s on, he’s incandescent.
Paul took the Suns apart to the tune of 41 points on the night. This haul included some amazing shooting from the 3-point line (7/8). He also dished out 8 dimes on the night as the Suns said they weren’t playing around any more.
However, Paul also drew a ton of flak from many neutral observers for his flopping and foul-drawing antics. One of those occasions was when DeMarcus Cousins walked into him and Paul dove like a deep-sea diver to the hardwood.
Paul missed the technical free throw thrown his way by the officials, leading to a unanimous reaction of ‘Ball don’t lie’ from DeMarcus Cousins as well as the rest of NBA Twitter. Those weren’t the only choice words Boogie had for CP3 tonight.
DeMarcus Cousins taunts Chris Paul, says nobody likes ‘his weak a**’
The technical free throw and the events of the 4th quarter after it were the result of a frustrated Clippers squad lashing out from a position of weakness. Patrick Beverley was ejected for shoving Chris Paul with no provocation.
The lead for the Suns, meanwhile, swelled to blowout proportions by the middle of the 4th quarter. By the time the game clock wound down to 2 minutes left, Cousins could take it no more.
He went all out in his verbal attack on the 11-time All-Star, using some choice words caught on camera: “You Wonder Why Nobody Fk With Yo Weak A.”

The implications were obvious – CP3 was unable to recruit any big-name free agents to any team that he played for. Boogie might be out of the playoffs, but he made sure to take his moment in the spotlight.
