“If we continue to guard the way we are, our shots would come around”: Team USA forward Kevin Durant gives an insight during half-time interview in game against Argentina
Team USA forward Kevin Durant talks to the press during the half-time interview, shares the key to finding their groove back
Team USA is finally on the board. After two uncharacteristic losses, the team bounced back to secure a dominant win over Argentina. Kevin Durant found his groove back and led the team in scoring, as Team USA secured a 108-80 win.
It was an overall better performance by the team, but the brightest part was that Kevin Durant found his shooting stroke again. Durant went 6-9 from the field, including 3 made 3-pointers. Both Durant and Bradley Beal scored 17 points. Zach LaVine added 15 points, and Damian Lillard scored 13 points.

Kevin Durant talks about the importance of defense
Everyone who plays/has played basketball would know how important defense is. The offense may come and go, but one can always stay consistent on defense. Kevin Durant conveyed the same message today, during his half-time interview against Argentina.
Durant, who had been struggling with his shooting, said,
“We’re not going to make shots all the time. But if we continue to guard the way we are, it’ll start to turn for us on offense. When we keep the ball in front and we get stops and rebounds, then we pretty much can play with a clean slate on the offensive side of the ball.”
This clearly worked for Team USA, as they registered a 28 point win. The team has two more exhibition games left before Tokyo, including a rematch with Patty Mills and the Australian team. They would like to exact their revenge and settle the score from the boys from down under.
