“Bradley Beal, you have to trade Russell Westbrook”: Wizards superstar admits to getting heckled during Team USA’s blowout win over Argentina

Bradley Beal hilariously admits to hearing a heckler yell, “trade Russell Westbrook,” during Team USA’s first exhibition win against Argentina. 

Bradley Beal and Team USA bounced back in a major way last night as they finally claimed their first exhibition win prior to the commencement of Tokyo 2020. After having suffered losses to both Nigeria and Australia, USA blew out Argentina 108-80 with all 5 starters scoring at least 12 points or more in the contest. 

Bradley Beal played as well as you could when you share the floor with 4 other All-NBA level players. He had 17 points and en route to this total, he had an interesting moment take place between him and a heckler in the stands.

The heckler reportedly yelled out to Bradley Beal, “Trade Russell Westbrook!” as he took to the charity stripe late in the 4th quarter. By now, the game had already been decided to have gone in the Americans’ favor. This moment will be one of the rarer moments to happen at the Olympics this year as there are no fans allowed in the stands during any of the non-exhibition games. 

Bradley Beal admits to hearing to the heckler yell out in favor of trading Russell Westbrook. 

Following the 28 point victory, Bradley Beal would go on to confirm that he heard the heckler loud and clear. “Of course I heard that s—t,” said Beal.

The Russell Westbrook-Brad Beal tandem had their ups and downs in their first season together as a duo. After having spent the last 8 of his career with a hyper athletic point guard who cannot spread the floor, it would be expected that Beal would have adjusted better to playing alongside Russell Westbrook.

Throughput the 2020-21 season, it seemed as though both players were removed from one another’s equation. Westbrook was off hunting his usual triple doubles while the Wizards vet was on his typical scoring tear of dropping 30+ points a night. 

Trading Russell Westbrook will definitely not be easy. With 3 more years left on a back-loaded contract that has him make $41 million next season alone, finding a trade partner will certainly be a daunting task.
