“Ben Simmons could take the Golden State Warriors to their next NBA championship”: Colin Cowherd makes his ideal move for the 76ers star be known ahead of this off-season
Colin Cowherd talks up Golden State Warriors potentially trading for Ben Simmons as reports reveal the 76ers have had enough
Ben Simmons’s blunders during this past postseason will not be easily forgotten, if at all.
As a 6’11” player with handles, the 76ers player was essentially scared of the ball. Yes, an NBA player, was scared of the basketball.
Simmons was atrocious throughout the playoffs. And frankly, we don’t blame Philadelphia for essentially booing him out of the city. But, with that being said, who would be willing to give up anything of value for the player right now? Well, it seems that Colin Cowherd has a possible answer for just this question. And frankly, it is a very interesting one.

Colin Cowherd believes Ben Simmons would be a perfect fit for the Golden State Warrior’s system
Outlandish? Absolutely! But could it work?
Look at the clip in the tweet below to see what the man himself thinks about the whole thing.
“I think Ben Simmons answers a lot of questions for Golden State. He gives you size and would get the ball to Klay and Steph.”

In the clip, Cowherd talks up trading either Wiseman or Wiggins for Ben Simmons. And frankly, in our mind, it’s Wiseman that needs to go.
Don’t get us wrong, he absolutely has star potential. However, right now, he is far too raw of a prospect, and wouldn’t come close to contributing to a championship team.
On the other end of the spectrum, the Warriors have essentially made it a habit to improve the players they bring in. Just look at the massive change Andrew Wiggins has shown after just two seasons with the franchise.
To top it all off, if they give Wiseman away, the franchise will need another center, a position Ben Simmons can absolutely slot into.
It may take time for him to learn the nuances of the position. But, under the guidance of Golden State, it is far from impossible.
At the end of the day though, this is all hearsay for now. Only time will tell if this move can be realized in the future.
