“Michael Schumacher isn’t your dad?”– Max Verstappen in ‘fake taxi’ trap
“Michael Schumacher isn’t your dad?”– Max Verstappen gets pranked by a ‘fake taxi’; he had to clarify his nationality and father’s identity.
Max Verstappen was caught in an awkward situation while he was using public transport. The Red Bull superstar was apparently driven to his destination by a fake taxi, where the imposter tried to irritate him with his questions.
The prank was organized by the Channel 4, where the taxi driver they implanted was clearly talkative, who could hold a remarkable conversation, but was wrong with his facts.
Initially, he appeared to confuse him with Michael Schumacher’s son and called him a German, to which Verstappen quickly clarified that he isn’t German and was born in Belgium, and his father is Dutch.
The driver tries to look puzzled and then asks whether Schumacher isn’t his father, and Verstappen obviously said that he is not a son of the seven0-time world champion.
Meanwhile, Verstappen was shown chatting with someone, and the footage claimed that he was apparently talking to someone from Red Bull, where the Dutch superstar whined about the driver’s habit of talking too much.
The person from the other end even suggested whether the driver was confusing Verstappen with Mick Schumacher, who is the actual son of Michael Schumacher, and currently is with Haas in his rookie year.
The veil was then open.
When Verstappen reached his destination, the imposter revealed his identity, and the 23-year-old driver threw a few swear words before confessing: “I was really holding my nerves.”
Well, if only Verstappen is a good actor, then only we can say he knew what was going on, so the performance by Channel 4 seemed convincing in any case, and managed to serve its purpose.
