“Not giving Sam Cassell a second interview may cost Wizards Bradley Beal”: The Wizards’ superstar wasn’t very pleased by the selection of the new Head Coach
Wizards’ superstar Bradley Beal is not pleased about the selection of their new Head Coach, wanted Sam Cassell for the job
The offseason is a very crucial one for the Washington Wizards. After they traded John Wall last offseason, there were a lot of doubts/expectations. The Wizards initially underperformed drastically, and then showed up big to wrap up the season. Russell Westbrook and Bradley Beal made an excellent pairing to conclude the season, and a lot more would be expected from them in the upcoming season.
However, there is a very high chance, neither of the two would suit up in a Wizards jersey again. After yet another disappointing playoff stint, Bradley Beal is expected to ask for a trade away from the Capital. His trade scenarios have been the talk of the entire league. In such a delicate situation, the Wizards may have given their best player another reason to ask for a trade.
Bradley Beal was not pleased by the hiring of the new Head Coach
If you’re a basketball team manager and your star player is on the verge of asking for a trade, you’d do anything to stop him from going right? Apparently, the same does not apply to the Wizards’ front office. In recent times, we’ve seen the kind of impact the star players have had in the team roster and selection of coaches. However, the Wizards’ don’t follow the same ideology.
Apparently, Bradley Beal wanted Sixers’ assistant Sam Cassell for the job, but he didn’t even get a second interview. The job ultimately went to former Nuggets’ associate head coach Wes Unseld Jr. Beal was not too pleased about the entire situation.
Bradley Beal was frustrated when his top choice for the Wizards’ job, 76ers assistant Sam Cassell, couldn’t land a second interview, sources tell @FredKatz.
“But no one is talking trades yet. Beal isn’t forcing his way anywhere.”

Beal is expected to make up his mind in the upcoming days before the Draft. Depending on what he decides, the draft picks for quite a few teams could differ.
