“Russell Westbrook thinks that the Lakers are his team despite the presence of LeBron James!”: Skip Bayless makes a ridiculous claim about the new LA star ahead of next season
Skip Bayless makes an absurd claim about Russell Westbrook and the Lakers, for the upcoming 2021-22 NBA season
Russell Westbrook’s team-up with LeBron James and Anthony Davis could either be incredible or a disaster you can’t quite look away from.
Reports have said that the three Lakers stars have met up and discussed their roles, and even changing positions to accommodate one another. And while that is encouraging, there is still no answer for the utter lack of shooting. Teams will essentially start playing the Lakers with a defensive scheme right out of the ’90s at this rate.
Still, even with all these potential problems, the NBA community is incredibly excited to see how this team turns out. Everyone, except Skip Bayless, it seems.
Let’s get into it.
Skip Bayless believes that Russell Westbrook is going into the season thinking that the Lakers are his team
Skip Bayless loves hating on LeBron James. If you didn’t know that, we are judging your ability as an NBA fan.
Jokes aside though, despite his hobbies, Bayless has been moving away from roasting the King as much off late. Instead, he has tried to find other targets to carry on his daily routine with. And recently, Russell Westbrook had the privilege of being included.
Here is what the analyst tweeted.
Russell Westbrook obviously won’t admit this, but he’s thinking the Lakers he grew up loving in L.A. are now HIS team. He is the ultimate solo act – and it is some sensational triple-double act. But there is a reason this is his 4th team in 4 years. #StriveForSoloGreatness

We really hope this man doesn’t believe the things he posts.
There is no way he thinks that way. If the three superstars have met up to discuss their roles already, we are sure everybody is clear on what they need to do and think to win a championship.
Can they really do it, though? Can they even face the Brooklyn Nets in the Finals? Or will this team-up end up being to their detriment?
Only time will tell.
