“If Giannis retired today, he’d still have a better legacy than Kevin Durant!”: Kendrick Perkins makes an absurd take when comparing the Bucks superstar against the Slim Reaper
Kendrick Perkins believes that Giannis Antetokounmpo has a better legacy than Kevin Durant as things stand
Giannis Antetokounmpo and Kevin Durant are two incredibly different players, but also almost shockingly similar.
Both players are nearly 7 feet tall, have guard-like handles and agility, and both players came into the league with almost sickly skinny frames. However, despite their similarities in stature and athleticism, both players somehow developed in completely different ways.
The Slim Reaper is a player that loves going to his jumper, and why not? He can basically make even the toughest of shots look effortless. On the other hand, the Greek Freak is closer to a more athletic and mobile version of Lakers legend Shaquille O’Neal.
At the moment, most fans consider Durant to be the more superior player of the two and the player who will likely have the better legacy. However, it seems Kendrick Perkins disagrees with that last point completely.
‘Why, you ask? Well, let’s see.

If there is one thing Big Perk loves, it is a glowing hot take.
The analyst has been in the business for a while now and has made a living off his bold takes. And recently, he delivered yet another one. Take a look at the tweet below.
Look at it like this, if this was the Oscars, KD would win best actor, but the story of Giannis would win best film.
KD is the best basketball player, but Giannis‘ path to becoming a champion gives him the better legacy! Carry on… pic.twitter.com/Wa9hdlFGM1

To be fair to him, it maybe doesn’t sound as absurd, as it would initially. However, to say that if the two players retired today, Giannis Antetokounmpo would have the better legacy… that’s still very much steeped in absurdity.
Sorry Perk, but you aren’t even close to right on this one. But who knows?
After all, both players still have a load of games left to play in their careers.
