“Giannis is already the face of the league!”: Kendrick Perkins heaps some massive praise onto Bucks superstar over the likes of LeBron James and Stephen Curry
Kendrick Perkins heaps some massive praise on the shoulders of Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo
Is Giannis Antetokounmpo a top 5 player in the NBA already?
The Greek Freak is only 26-years-old but has already come such a long way in his NBA career. He went from a lanky rookie who was out of his element and scared out of his mind, to a strapping young man who is one of the most dominant players in the league, despite his lack of a reliable jumper.
People, the Bucks superstar is so good, Shaquille O’Neal actually relinquished his superstar moniker, and bequeathed it on him, before he even won a title.
Simply put, the Freak is good (pause). But, is he the face of the league?
Kendrick Perkins certainly thinks so.
Kendrick Perkins believes Giannis Antetokounmpo is already the face of the league
It sounds absurd at first. But is it really that far off the truth?
At the end of the day, the player is only just entering his prime, and he has already led the Milwaukee Bucks to their first-ever NBA title in 50 years. On top of that he’s likable too, and so much more.
That aside though let’s let Big Perk explain himself here. Take a look at the tweet below.
.@KendrickPerkins says Giannis is currently the face of the NBA ahead of LeBron, KD and Steph.

Well, we won’t say Giannis is the only star in the NBA that can get you 50 wins in the regular season. However, his points about making him the face of the league really aren’t too far-fetched.
At the end of the day, LeBron James, Stephen Curry, and Kevin Durant are getting on in age. So, given that the league is going to need a new figurehead anyway, why not Giannis Antetokounmpo?
