“Russell Westbrook can finally teach LeBron James rap lyrics”: NBA fans hilariously look at the upside of ‘Brodie’ teaming up with Lakers MVP as the former lip-syncs to ‘Gunna’
Russell Westbrook is seen rapping Gunna while driving around Los Angeles and NBA fans believe he can finally help LeBron James learn lyrics.
Every offseason has at least one trade that many NBA fans, as a whole, believe has the potential to shift the tides of winning a championship in their favor. Russell Westbrook being traded to the Los Angeles Lakers to team up with LeBron James and Anthony Davis may just be the 2021 version of this obligatory ‘blockbuster’ trade.
There is no in-between when it comes to this acquisition, as in, there are no NBA fans that are on the fence about this trade. There is a faction of fans and analysts alike, like Bill Simmons and Colin Cowherd, who strongly believe that Russell Westbrook next to LeBron James makes no sense.
Surrounding James with a poor shooter who delves into stints of heavy volume doesn’t seem like an optimization of LeBron’s skillset. On the other hand, many believe that an overall collection of talent trumps all. These seem to be the same fans who have found another reason as to why the 2017 MVP fits perfectly next to LeBron James.

Over the past few years, LeBron James has amped up his lip-syncing videos on social media. Whether it’s Drake or Migos, the Lakers superstar will most probably be driving while trying to rap along with the artists. However, as these videos have started to surface, NBA fans have realized that more likely than not, James does not actually know the lyrics to these songs.
According to these same fans, this is where Russell Westbrook comes in. Westbrook is also notorious for releasing videos of himself singing along to artists but unlike James, he seems to have a grasp on what the rappers are actually saying. Most recently, he sang along to Gunna’s ‘Top Off’ while driving around Los Angeles.

Users in the comments hilariously threw shots at LeBron by saying, “He can finally teach Bron the lyrics,” and, “At least he knows the lyrics-Bron doesn’t know the lyrics.”
It’s safe to say that Russell Westbrook has acclimated himself to playing with LeBron James quite well, considering the fact it hasn’t even been a week since he got traded and he’s already seen lip-syncing to songs while driving.
