“Shaquille O’Neal wouldn’t have all those kids if he was a plumber”: Charles Barkley hilariously goes off on the Lakers legend for having too many children
Charles Barkley continuously roasts Shaquille O’Neal for having too many kids and says that he wouldn’t have that many if he was a plumber.
The amount of times Charles Barkley and Shaquille O’Neal have gone at each other’s necks on national television is absurd. Though it may seem as though the two NBA legends have it out for one other, Shaq and Chuck have both admitted that they have nothing but love for one another. Shaq even compared his relationship with Charles to the one he had with Kobe Bryant.
Nevertheless, this sense of brotherly love rarely translates while on air on NBAonTNT as quite nearly every single installment of the highly acclaimed show delves into a verbal sparring match between the two.
Shaquille O’Neal almost always hits Charles Barkley with the ‘I have 4 rings to your none’ argument while Chuck usually goes for roasting his appearance and the fact that his voice makes him sound like he isn’t all too intellectual.
Charles Barkley goes after Shaquille O’Neal for having too many kids.
It’s no secret that Shaquille O’Neal has more children than the average person. The Lakers legend has 6 kids and has repeatedly shouted a few of them out while on air on NBAonTNT. However, upon doing so, Charles Barkley seems to have a snarky, yet hilarious comment loaded in his backpocket, ready to be spewed out.
Chuck has said everything from, “Give him 15 seconds to name all of his kids’ names,” to, “If you were ‘Shaquille O’Neal the Plumber’, you wouldn’t have all those kids,” and everything in between. It’s unclear where Barkley came up with this running gag of roasting Shaq for having too many kids but NBA fans are glad that he did.
Perhaps Charles Barkley is still mad at Shaq’s oldest son, Shareef O’Neal, for claiming that he never really considered joining Auburn when selecting where to go to college. As we all know, Barkley was a star as an Auburn Tiger.
In all honesty however, it’s very obvious that Chuck has nothing but love for Shaquille O’Neal and his children. He would not be making such comments if he truly felt a certain way about Shareef, Shaqir, and the rest of the O’Neal squad.
