Matt Riddle talks teaming up with Rob Van Dam. The former United States Champion also discussed all his other teammates during his WWE run.
Matt Riddle has been shining on WWE television for quite a while now. The former United States Champion had a slow start on the main roster but has since picked up quite the steam. He is currently involved in an interesting storyline with Randy Orton and has been in a couple of segments with John Cena already.

During a recent conversation with SKWrestling, Matt Riddle spoke on what it would be like to have teamed up w ith Rob Van Dam. Riddle was of the opinion that they would have succeeded as a team because of how similar the two are with each other but also made an observation about the kind of wrestlers he has usually been paired with in WWE.

“I think that tag team could have worked, definitely. Me and Rob Van Dam, we’re two stallions, we’re… what is it… feather and the bird? The same flock. You know what I’m saying, there’s that saying. But we’re basically the same dude, we’re the same bird feather, you know what I’m saying?
“A team [with RVD] makes sense but I’ve noticed with my teams, my success usually relies on how different we are. Like my first tag team in WWE with Pete Dunne, The BroserWeights, Pete’s way different than me. And then even with Randy right now, which we’re having great success with, you know, once he gets back [interview recorded before this week’s RAW]. We’ve been having great success.”
