“We only said that in our opinion his actions weren’t correct”– Red Bull claims that it never targeted Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton after Silverstone.
The British Grand Prix brought in a two-week-long drama in Formula 1, with Red Bull raising swords against Mercedes as Lewis Hamilton collided into Max Verstappen and causing a 51G crash.
Hamilton, in the end, went onto win the race, but Red Bull was irked more by the celebrations by the Briton among his countrymen, which also prompted a reply from Verstappen on social media.

Later, Red Bull only spoke against Hamilton and asked for a detailed inquiry, which compelled Mercedes to point out that Red Bull is getting personal, which the Minton-Keynes-based team now declines.
“We have in no way tarnished Hamilton as a person,” Marko told Motorsport-Magazin. “We only said that in our opinion his actions weren’t correct and that the punishment was disproportionate.”
“If it had been a different driver, we would have handled things the same way,” Marko added. “So that had nothing to do with Hamilton, it’s just the way we react to incidents like this.”
The same thing happened in Hungary
Red Bull is now even more infuriated with Mercedes as Valtteri Bottas caused a rampage in Turn 1 of Hungaroring during the first lap of the race; it ended up eliminating five drivers. including Red Bull’s Sergio Perez.
On the other hand, Verstappen’s car was immensely damaged, and he could only fetch single-digit points from the race, which were nothing in front of Hamilton’s 18-points from P2.
Red Bull apparently has to deal with a 3 million bill to repair the two cars and will soon be dealing with the grid penalties for going over the limit with the power units.
