WATCH: MS Dhoni gives tips to Sri Lankan players after the T20 series
MS Dhoni, Wankhede and Sri Lanka have a special bond. Dhoni’s six over long on to Kulasekra that helped India win the 2011 World Cup is a memory that is etched in every Indian fan’s mind. It was a moment to savour for the country and Dhoni let it be Sachin Tendulkar’s moment, whose career was incomplete without a World Cup.
The three protagonists were back in action last night, and for a fan who lived the 2011 World Cup through and through, it was that ‘deja vu’ moment that people talk about.
Dhoni was at the helm of things once again, guiding India to a win after the top order had put India in a tricky situation. Dhoni and Karthik constructed a gritty partnership to take India home, with Dhoni hitting the winning boundary.
India had clinched the series 3-0, with Rohit Sharma recording his first ever white wash as Indian captain.
MS Dhoni and the Indian team were in festive mood after the win, celebrating with Santa hats. And while MS Dhoni too was at the celebrations, enjoying himself with the younger generation of cricketers, he did something that for the Sri Lankan team, that was very heartening to see.
MS Dhoni was seen talking to the Sri Lankan players and giving the tips about the game.
Dhoni has always been a very competitive yet fair opponent, someone who loves talking about cricket with his opponents.

MS Dhoni now won’t be in action until February 1st, as the Indian team would be involved in a Test Series with South Africa.
