Indian team management angry over practice pitches in South Africa
Reports suggest that the Indian team management is distressed over the practice wickets provided to them at Cape Town.
Both the teams are currently running through practice sessions instead of practice matches ahead of the big Test series.
BCCI had earlier opted out of the practice game as the team management felt that a camp like training atmosphere would be a better preparation, as there could be no guarantee about the kind of quality on offer during practice games.
The Indians have thus been training and practising in Cape Town, playing on different kinds of wickets to help them prepare for different stages during the Test match.
The Indian side though is not happy with the kind of pitches that have been provided to them for practice, and want Cricket South Africa to intervene in order to sort things out(according to reports in India Today).
The turf war begins with the Test match that is scheduled to start from January 5 in Cape Town, Newlands.
Experts feel that this is India’s best chance to script a series win in South Africa, as India’s team has the required balance to compete in South African conditions.
The Indian pace battery, which ranks amongst the best in the world has a great chance of taking those 20 wickets.
Shami, Bhuvi, Bumrah, Umesh and Ishant are all very different from each other and thus will offer Virat Kohli with different options during the entire series.
