Hardik Pandya sends a wonderful tweet after being retained by Mumbai Indians
One of the biggest positives of the IPl is it’s constant ability to churn out young Indian talent. The likes of Jadeja, Ashwin, Raina and Kohli have all performed really well in the tournament, before making the step up to the Indian team.
While the Raina and Kohli were already on the radar of the national selectors, their performances in the IPL were what really caught the eye.
In recent years, the likes of Chahal, Yadav, Axar and Pandya have all shone brightly in the IPL. Their performances against the best players in the world is what prepared them for their eventual step up to the Indian side.

While people do complain about the ill effects of the IPL, one cannot argue that it has provided a wonderful platform for young Indian talent to rub shoulders with some of the best players in the game right now.
Hardik Pandya is one of the main benefactors from this, as the Baroda all-rounder has successfully made the transition on to the international scene.
Pandya had a super 2017, as he established himself as one of the premier all-rounders in the game today. He cemented his position in the all three formats of the game, as Pandya quickly became one of the faces of this Indian side.
Earlier today in the IPL retention special, Mumbai Indians decided to retain Hardik Pandya, along with Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah.
After the announcement, Hardik put up an emotional tweet in which he thanked Mumbai Indians for the faith that they had in him, and promised to serve them to the best of his abilities.
