Daniel Bryan is the odds-on favourite to win the Royal Rumble

Betting odds have emerged as an indicator to the potential Royal Rumble in the recent past. With the Royal Rumble not far away, a huge change in the odds have taken place with Daniel Bryan being listed as a favourite to win the annual battle royal.

The trend is visible on several betting sites such as the likes of Paddy Power, Sky Bet and BetFair all depicting a huge change in the odds for the former Heavyweight champion.

Daniel Bryan has been put with the odds at +1000 with only the current favourite, Shinsuke Nakamura and “the Big Dog” Roman Reigns above him.

Other visible trends have been the decrease in the odds for previously determined favourite, John Cena and increase in the probability for the duo of Dolph Ziggler and Finn Balor.

Daniel Bryan has been embroiled in a tangle with the backstage officials over his in-ring status with the WWE medical staff not clearing him for action.

The SmackDown General manager has issued an ultimatum with the company until Wrestlemania to clear him and has rejected a new contract offer in the process.

The chance of Bryan winning seems baffling at the moment with the star’s tension with the higher authorities. But the prospect of the star being cleared and going on to win the entire thing would be a spectacle to behold with the Royal Rumble winners receiving mixed reactions over the past few years.
