WATCH : Mo Salah gives Liverpool the lead against Tottenham
Mo Salah becomes the fastest Liverpool player to score 20 Premier League goals in history, as the red hot Egyptian gave his side a crucial lead within the first couple of minutes against Tottenham.
In what was a huge clash between two teams challenging for the top four, Liverpool capitalized on Eric Dier’s back pass, as Salah gratefully accepted the ball and slid it past Hugo to give Anfield the perfect start.
After a big money move to Liverpool in the summer, Salah has lit up the Premier League, as his world class movement and finishing have been a potent weapon in Liverpool’s arsenal.
Klopp was visibly ecstatic, as his number eleven gave him the start that he wanted. After Coutinho’s big money move to Barcelona, Salah has become Liverpool’s main man at the club.
The Egyptian has gone past Mane and Firmino to become the talisman for the Anfield side, as Salah’s form has become crucial for Liverpool’s top four hopes this season.
Liverpool are currently tied with Chelsea at 50 points, and Klopp will know that his team needs to secure the three points this match.
Salah’s influence has been stunning to say the least, as no Liverpool fan have imagined his level of success.
But he could have scores another one soon, after that if it were not for an uncharacteristic loss in composure.
Salah will no doubt be looking to get on the score sheet again, as there is no doubt he will be getting a few more chances in the second half.
