Karn Sharma sends a wonderful message to Dhoni and CSK
One of the most under rated leg spinners in the country today, Karn Sharma has often showed his quality and class during the IPL. Sharma was a star for the Sunrisers Hyderabad, as he was often their go-to bowler in tough situations.
While the rise of Yuzvendra Chahal has seen Sharma go down the pecking order for the Indian team, Sharma knows that a good showing in the IPL can propel him back onto the national team radar.
Sharma will ply his trade at CSK this year, as the leggie will surely benefit from playing on a spin friendly surface. The presence of the legendary MS Dhoni behind the stumps will only help Sharma, as he tries to make his back into the national side.
This is what Sharma had to say about Dhoni and his new team, CSK.
“I’m very excited and happy that Chennai Super Kings have given me the opportunity to play under Mahi bhai (MS Dhoni). He’s a great captain and knows how to extract the best from his players. I hope to learn a lot under him,” Sharma was quoted as saying by the CSK website.
“I’m looking forward to playing for the champion franchise. CSK have a lot of great players in their line-up. I see this as a great opportunity to learn from them and become a better player,” added the Meerut-born cricketer.
“I’ve been playing in the IPL for long now and have learnt a lot of variations and how to bowl in different situations and to different batsmen. I’ve become a better bowler with that,” the Meerut-born cricketer said.
With wrist spinners shining all over the world, a great performance in the IPL could well and truly start Sharma’s comeback trail into the Indian side.
