Murali Vijay congrats Team India but ignores Dinesh Karthik on Twitter
Dinesh Karthik was the hero last night, as the veteran smashed a last ball six to win India the Nidahas Trophy.
After a sensational over from the Fizz, Bangladesh must have thought that they had the match in the bag, as even the most optimistic Indian fan could not see a victory coming.

DK walked in with 34 needed of 12 balls, when he peeled 22 runs off Rubel in the penultimate over of the innings, to set up a grand stand finish. Then with five required off the last ball, DK hit a glorious six over extra cover to seal a memorable win.
DK’s smile told the whole story, as the Tamil Nadu player soaked in the best moment of his 14 year long career. Karthik has been around for a long time, but unfortunately for him he played during the MS Dhoni era, as he always found himself in the great man’s shadow.

But no tonight, as DK had his Mianded moment and shone brightly in the Colombo night. He was just there for eight balls, but DK played one of the best T20I innings we have seen in a very long time.
Cricketers sent in their best regards, as everyone hailed DK’s effort and congratulated team India on their victory.
Murali Vijay also congratulated the side, but conveniently ignored DK in the tweet. Vijay, who is married to Karthik’s first wife, did not even mention DK much to the displeasure of Indian cricket fans.

The pair used to friends at one point, as they played for both their state and national teams together. Things got ugly in 2012 though, as Karthik found out that Vijay was having an affair with his then wife Nikita.
In spite of Nikita being pregnant at the time, Karthik filed for divorce and has ended his friendship with Vijay. While both DK and Vijay have played cricket for the same side since then, their friendship has ended and take every opportunity to stay away from each other.
