Virat Kohli is not happy with RCB’s new bowling attack

It was the same old story for Virat Kohli, as his RCB bowlers were not potent enough to win matches for their side.

While 176 was not a huge score, it was still good enough for RCB to make a match out of it. The pace attack of Yadav, Woakes and Khejroliya could not make early inroads, while the spin pair of Chahal and Sundar were also very dissapointing for Kohli.

After the match, Kohli was once again pretty upset with his bowlers and also mentioned that their batsmen should have scored 15-20 more runs.

“I think we were 15 short with the bat. I played too many dot balls and couldn’t get any momentum going. Me and AB getting out in 2 balls to a part-timer was a game-changing event. Sunil took the game away from us with the way he batted.

“If you are giving 13 an over in the first overs on that sort of a wicket, it’s very difficult to comeback. It’s difficult for the spinners to bowl on this pitch, the fast bowlers get some purchase and you can score runs as well.

“It has become a really good cricket wicket over the last couple of years. We made a pretty good game out of it, to drag it till the 19th over and take those wickets was a big positive.”

The match changed in Nitish Rana’s over, as the part timer got both AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli in successive deliveries. While their dismissals changed the course of the game, RCB’s bowlers could have done much better with the ball.
