The inaugural edition of the Women’s Premier League is set to start tonight, and it is certainly a historic day in Women’s cricket. Ahead of the first match, a grand opening ceremony will take place where celebrities like Kriti Sanon (Actress), Kiara Advani (Actress) and AP Dhillion (Singer) will make their presence known.

To encourage women’s footfall in the stadiums, they will get free entry throughout the tournament. The paid tickets are also kept at a nominal price of INR 100. A total of 20 league games will take place in the tournament, where the top team will directly reach the final, and the 2nd & 3rd place team will play in the eliminator.

The first match of the tournament will be played between Gujarat Giants Women and Mumbai Indians Women, and the players of both sides would want to present an excellent contest in front of a packed crowd in Mumbai.

WPL 2023 free OTT platform

Women’s Premier League will be telecasted in multiple languages and platforms on the Viacom 18 network. Viacom 18 won the rights to broadcast WPL for a staggering price of INR 951 crores. The matches will be telecasted live on both TV and digital platforms.

Digitally, the tournament will be streamed live on the Jio Cinema app and website. The app can be downloaded via Play Store or App Store, whereas the users can directly reach the website by clicking here. To everyone’s delight, watching the WPL on Jio Cinema is absolutely free.

It is not the first time that Jio Cinema is offering a free service. FIFA World Cup 2022 was also broadcasted on the platform, whereas Viacom 18 is the digital partner of IPL as well. Recently, the SA20 League in South Africa was also broadcasted for free on Jio Cinema. There is no need to buy any package, just a one time free registration is required.
