WATCH: Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma have a moment in RCB’s game against KXIP
The Bangalore crowd erupted in delight when Virat Kohli won the toss at the Chinnaswamy stadium for the first time this season.
Going with the trend and history in Bangalore, Kohli opted to chase, as the small boundaries make it extremely difficult to to defend here.
However, the Kings XI got off to a flying start, as both the local boys, KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal got into their stride early on, taking the RCB attack to the cleaners.
But Umesh Yadav’s inspired spell helped RCB come right back into the mix, as he sent Mayank Agarwal, Aaron Finch and Yuvi in one over.
Karun Nair and KL Rahul then forged a good partnership together before Rahul holed out to Sundar and Karun Nair’s stumps were pegged back by Kulwant.
The tail enders were trying to get KXIP back into the game and while Ashwin played his part, the batsman at the other end kept throwing their wicket away.
Andrew Tye stepped out to smack Woakes over the long off boundary, but ended up slicing it and Kohli took a rather easy catch.
But it was Kohli’s celebration that caught the eye of everyone involved, as just after taking the catch, he turned towards Anushka Sharma in the stands and the couple exchanged a pretty special moment on the field.
