Suresh Raina’s wonderful tweet after CSK’s win against RCB
Chennai Super Kings (CSK) came back strong after a humiliating defeat against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).
CSK skipper MS Dhoni decided to bowl first after winning the toss. RCB didn’t get the start they wanted and the wickets kept on falling. Playing his first match of this season, Parthiv Patel scored a fifty when the team needed the most. But he didn’t get the required support from the other end and lost his wicket too.
The spinning duo of Ravindra Jadeja and Harbhajan Singh did well and picked five wickets in total. However, the innings got some much needed impetus by that order surge from Tim Southee.
Coming back to chase down the target, Ambati Rayudu and Suresh Raina provided the base that the team needed.
In the end, Dhoni took the match into his zone and went over Chahal to hit three sixes and finished off the match. CSK won the match by six wickets and 12 balls to spare.
The victory took CSK back to the top spot on the points table. They proved that one bad day doesn’t make a difference for them. They did excellent in all aspects of fielding, bowling and batting.
After the match, Suresh Raina took to twitter to praise the team’s performance. His tweet read, “Brilliant beginning, Impactful Interval and a fearless finish!! A total team effort to win against RCBTweets this evening in Pune. Keep the whistles blowing!!”
