Sergey Sirotkin had a seat problem in Spanish GP

Williams and Sirotkin have had a painful start to the 2018 F1 season, having been unable to accumulate any points in the first few races.

Sirotkin endured an uneasy Spanish GP, and while it may seem that it was primarily because of that opening lap crash because of the ‘Grosjean spin induced smokescreen’.

The Russian emerged last from the smokescreen and had to undergo 3 pit stops to complete the race.

Sirotkin has now come out with a bizarre revelation about how the car seat is not comfortable for him and has been so since the start of the season.

He concedes that a few tweaks have been made to get the seat comfort to its optimum, however, the seat still continues to be uncomfortable, literally and figuratively.

“I started to struggle with – let’s say it this way to not upset anyone – the problem is with seat comfort. We had it since the beginning of the year and we never really [had] the opportunity to properly look and improve it. But today we did a couple of changes and I’m not sure they were in the right way.

“It’s not really the seat position, it’s some bits which helps you not to move around in the car which we are struggling [with] a lot all year. We reached the worst point of that [in the race] and for sure the way it was it’s just dangerous and not raceable at all.” Sirotkin said.

While getting car updates could be a difficult task, as it needs expertise and money, but fixing a seat shouldn’t be a problem, should it?

Hopefully, Sirotkin is comfortable in that car next time round.
