Watch: Ambati Rayudu discloses why he takes a bat from Virat Kohli every year

Ambati Rayudu has recently disclosed that the secret behind his success in IPL 2018 is Virat Kohli’s lucky bat and the reason he takes a bat from Virat Kohli every year.

Ambati Rayudu has been the highest scoring batsman for CSK this season. He has batted both in the middle order and at the top. Despite frequent shuffles in the batting order, Rayudu has remained unflustered and has delivered for the team.

In 15 matches, Rayudu has scored 586 runs at an average of more than 40. He has also notched up a century. On the back of his consistent performances, he even broke through in the Indian ODI squad touring England.

Recently, in a chat show with veteran off spinner Harbhajan Singh named Blast with Bhajji, Rayudu came up with a very candid chat. They Hyderabadi player said that he worked very hard on his fitness in the off season and this is the reason why he had such a successful IPL this year.

In the conversation, Rayudu also disclosed his lucky charm and the secret behind his success in the IPL. The right-hander said that he took a bat from Virat every year.

“Har saal ek bat leta hu Virat (Kohli) se, usko bhi maloom ho gaya ki tashan hai. Is saal to gaali deke diya hai,” Rayudu chuckled.

Bhajji also talked about a few hated moments that took place between the two players that led to an exchange of a few fords. It was a time when both players played for the Mumbai Indians franchise and had a heated argument on the field. Rayudu apologised to Harbhajan on the show and the two laughed about the incident and talked about moving on.
