Lewis Hamilton believes Max Verstappen treats him differently than every other driver in the F1 grid
Seven times world champion Lewis Hamilton talks about the rivalry with Max Verstappen. He explains how the Dutch driver views him differently than the other drivers.
Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton have one of the greatest ongoing rivalries in Formula One. To the older fan, it does remind them of Prost vs Senna or Haikkinen vs Schumacher.
Both drivers recognize the heated exchanges and psychology that keep them competitive against one another. Besides, Hamilton understands how Max Verstappen views him as a target.
2021 rivalry between two of the greatest F1 drivers
Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen’s 2021 season will be remembered for the final race of the season. The Red Bull driver won the race and became the world champion for the first time.
While the fans did expect competition between them again, it did not turn out that way. Lewis Hamilton’s W13 Mercedes did not perform well till the middle of the season.
There were few races, particularly at the end of the season that had fans going back to the flashbacks of the 2o21 season. However, Verstappen had the better car with no one matching his pace.

Lewis Hamilton on going wheel to wheel with Max Verstappen in 2023
Lewis Hamilton explains to the media about the two times world champion’s methods of dealing with his former arch-rival. He stated on he understands and observes whatever Verstappen talks about.
The Briton acknowledged how the rivalry is and how Verstappen drives and behaves in a different manner than all the other drivers. Moreover, Hamilton puts himself in the shoes of the two times world champion and accepted that he did the same previously.
With the age and change in driving style, Hamilton is hopeful of driving wheel-to-wheel with Verstappen again in the 2023 season. A joy to behold with the new season still a long way to go.
